Fawaaz Satardien is a corporate and transactional lawyer advising financial institutions, private equity sponsors, fund managers, development finance institutions, institutional investors and multinational corporates on significant local and cross-border transactions across Africa and strategic mandates in the GCC.

His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, private capital, investment funds, development finance, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Fawaaz regularly advises on high-value investment, financing and fund transactions involving sophisticated investment structures, blended finance arrangements, fund formation, corporate governance and multi-jurisdictional acquisitions. He also advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.

Fawaaz began his career at a leading South African law firm before joining two of the Big Four global professional services firms, where he held senior roles advising on corporate transactions. His experience also includes advising one of Africa’s leading development finance institutions on investment, financing and fund transactions.

His work spans multiple African and GCC jurisdictions and the full transaction lifecycle, from structuring and due diligence through negotiation, regulatory approvals and execution. He combines technical excellence with commercial judgement to deliver clear, pragmatic advice on sophisticated transactions.
